Obituary of Virginia Sue Jones

Virginia Sue Long Jones, age 77, of Mount Carmel, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 4, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Austin Jones; parents, Bob T. and Mary Sue Long; brother, Bobby E. Long of Kansas; and sister, Geneva Bell Long Kohls also of Kansas.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Daniel Jones (Kyndra), and Grover Jones (Wilma Robinette); daughter, Shanna Sue Shaffer (Tim); 3 grandchildren, Michael Jones, Brandon Jones and Hunter Sue Bowen; sister, Thelma Long Farley; and brother James Grady Long (Ann); special nephew, Bob Farley (Sharon); several other nieces, nephews and extended family.

Per Virginia’s wishes there will be no public services, but online condolences may be left for the family.
