Obituary of Carolyn Casteel Morelock

Carolyn Casteel Morelock, 83 of Mt. Carmel went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2024 surrounded by her family. Born in Kingsport, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Dennie Casteel and Pauline Casteel. Her favorite activity was watching her grandchildren play sports. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Billy Lee Morelock; along with her sisters, Jean Richards and Barbara Combs.

She is survived by her three daughters, Tammy Church, Connie Quillen (Terry), and Tracie Hill (David); seven grandchildren, Jeremy Hutson (Jena), Joshua Hutson, Amber Quillen, Brittney Marsh (Aaron), Aaron Quillen (Emily), Bryant Hill, and Drew Hill; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bobbi Edgar (Ronnie); a special niece, Sherry; along with another niece and nephew.

The family will receive friends from 11 am until 1 pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Jon Rogers officiating.

Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers.
