My friends that grew up with me at Indian Springs all know the name Judy Denton.
Mrs. Denton was a huge staple of my life. Not only was she my 4th Grade teacher but my mother would go over to her house and help her clean and I would go with her and hang out at the cabin just being a kid. She was our friend.
One day I wondered down into her “library” downstairs and found a treasure trove of Louis L’Amour books that she started lending me so I could read the entire Sackett Series. She was such a teacher, librarian, and friend to me throughout the years. She even gave me an old mattress and box spring from upstairs when I first moved out on my own so I would have a bed to sleep on.
Speaking of sons, she named one of her sons one of the coolest names I ever heard as a kid as well, Alaric. When he went to Dessert Storm I was in 4th grade and we as a class wrote letters to him and the other troops. Just such an overall amazing woman.
The world is a better place having had wonderful teachers like her helping us kids to learn and grow to be adults. We’ll miss you Mrs. Denton and we love you.

Mrs. Denton was my 4th grade teacher, many years ago, but she remains dear in my heart as one of my favorites. I remember her being gentle and loving, stern and a force to be reckoned with and a bundle of joy and happiness all in one. Her voice always had a smile in it and I can still hear it today. Prayers for the family and peace knowing she has no more pain, no more tears as she enjoys eternity with her Savior.

Although Judy and I never met in person, she opened her arms to me,Christopher, Layken and Case! She never once question that Christopher was Herewards' son! We shared many stories and phone calls and she was always so supportive and kind. Such a beautiful lady and devout Christian and she loved her sons and grandchildren and family. I'm only sorry it took so many years to connect with her. But the stories Hereward shared with me were all true. Rest in peace and enjoy your reunion with your son, sister Gloria and many family. You will be truly missed. Prayers for you Alaric and your family.
Sincerely,
Sheryl Lowery and family
