Obituary of David Kaywood, Sr.

David Kaywood, Sr., 68, of Kingsport passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Sullivan County.

David was preceded in death by his parents Billy and Charmie Kaywood; sisters, Dorothy and Lisa; brothers, Eugene, Larry, Ralph, Ronnie and Clifford.

Leaving to carry on his memory is his sisters, Juanita and Kathy Kaywood and a long-lost sister Gladys Kaywood Dean; last but not least the love of his life and soul mate, Mildred Kaywood; his children, Shannon, Jessica and David Jr.; five grandchildren; one special grandson, Rhyan Powell.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Gardner’s Chapel Cemetery, Boozy Creek Community with Brother Tony Hobbs officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
