Obituary of Fanny M Baker

Fannie M. Baker, 91, of Hiltons, Virginia, passed away after a brief illness on November 22, 2014. For nearly 4 years, she was living in Ohio at the Inn at Olentangy Trail. During her residence at the Inn, she made many friendships and participated in several activities each week. She enjoyed her new friends and she always held her Virginia friends close to her heart as well. Throughout her life Fannie enjoyed children of all ages. This continued with her move to Ohio. She enjoyed the young visitors when they would sing and do crafts together. She shared her talents willingly with others. Her gardening talents were admired by many. Fannie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe M. Baker, an infant son Hugh, her parents Craig and Dorothy Dixon, a sister Ruby Quillen. She is survived by her son Bill Baker (Suzy) Dublin, Ohio; Sister Ruth Dougherty, Hiltons, VA; Granddaughter Leslie (TJ) Niedzielski and 3 great grandchildren, JT, Joey and Cori as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Scott County Funeral Home at 12noon with Rev. Bill Porter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215 or the American Cancer Society 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017, or a charity of your choice.
