Obituary of Ethel Lora Gilreath

Ethel Lora Gilreath 98, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Hancock County Hospital, Sneedville, TN Ethel retired from the Kingsport Press after 38 years of service. She enjoyed working with her roses and working in the yard. Ethel was a member of New Melody Methodist Church in Scott Co., Virginia and also attended Cedar View Independent Methodist Church. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents Ballard and Rebecca Hubbard Gilreath; a sister, Ruby Gilreath; and a brother, Kent Gilreath. She is survived by her niece, Joyce Neeley and husband Everette; great nieces Betty Patrick, and Barbara Davis; great-great niece, Amber Arnold; great-great nephew Joshua Patrick; great-great-great niece, Kylie Housewright; and great-great-great nephew, Kayden Arnold. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm with Pastor Jim Fields officiating. A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with members of Cedar View Independent Methodist Church Bible class serving as pallbearers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Gilreath Family.
