Obituary of Frank Garnet Creger

Frank Garnet Creger, Jr, 73, formerly of Richmond, VA passed away peacefully Friday, October 17, 2014 at Wexford House. A native of Pulaski, VA, he was the son of Audrey W. and Frank G. Creger, Sr. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked at Univac in Bristol as a Systems Analyst before moving to Richmond. He enjoyed skiing, playing golf, tennis and playing the piano. He was preceded in death by her parents. He is survived by his two daughters, Carrie Creger Upshaw & husband Michael of Kingsport and Shannon Itzaina & husband Jim of Escondido, CA; six grandchildren, Erin and Jeffrey Upshaw and Christopher, Annabeth, Lilly and Joshua Barre; his sister, Dianne Wright & husband Bobby of Richmond; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held this summer during the Williams Family reunion where his family members gather each year. Memorial contributions may be made to the Music Ministry at First Baptist Church, 200 West Church Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660 Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Creger family.
