Obituary of Evelyn Irene Dennison

Evelyn Dennison, age 87, of Kingsport, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 with a smile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack A. Dennison; daughter, Diana Rhea Carter; parents, Walter and Anna Stokes; and brother, Bob Stokes. She is survived by her loving children, Sam Dennison and Gena Gilly; grandchildren, Bob Dennison (Angie), David Dennison (Julie), Sammy Dennison Jr., Jessica Gilly, Laura Davis (Scott) and Michael Gilly; great-grandchildren, Connor Dennison, Aidan Dennison, Colin Davis and Lily Davis; son-in-law, Wayne Carter; daughter-in-law, Deana Johnson; special niece, Vickie Williams; and several other nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family would like to especially thank the 5th floor nursing staff and Dr. Stan Hodges at Indian Path Medical Center, family doctor, Dr. Randy McGlothlin, and all the wonderful neighbors at Manor Drive. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Sunday at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City, VA. Interment will follow at the Holston View Cemetery.
