Obituary of Paul Guy

Paul Allen "Paulanker" Guy, 65, of Kingsport passed away peacefully in his sleep (Saturday September 6th, 2014) at the home of his sister. Born and raised in Scott County, he worked most of his life as a roofing contractor until his health prevented him. He was a loving father, brother, papaw, great papaw and friend. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Linda Turner, parents, Corbett and Lizzie Guy; three brothers and one sister He is survived by his two daughters, Paula Sue Guy Pruitt and husband, Leland, and Lisa Guy Griffith; two sons, Corbett Sherman Guy and Paul Tracy Guy; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Edna Earl Compton; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Eureka Stacy. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Tuesday (September 9th, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11am Wednesday (September 10th, 2014) in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Roy Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol, VA. Carter-Trent/ Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Guy family.
