Obituary of David Dingus

Kingsport- David Dingus, 56, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly, early Thursday morning (September 4, 2014) at his home. He was born in Wise, Virginia but had resided in Kingsport the majority of his life. David was an avid UT Football fan who just loved football in general. He also enjoyed cooking. He was preceded in death by his father, Hobert Dingus, Sr.; a brother, J.C. Dingus. David Dingus is survived by his daughter, Heather Hughes and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Xavier, Isaiah, and Aleyah; mother, Ruth Dingus; his girlfriend, Sandy Mallory, her children and grandchildren; siblings, Diana Wilson, Glenn Dingus and wife, Kathy, Gary Dingus, Cathy McCracken and husband, Edmund and Shirley King; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was truly loved by all. Friends may call anytime at the residence of the mother, Ruth Dingus. A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday (September 7, 2014) at 3 pm with Pastor Randy Shupe, officiating. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown is serving the Dingus family.
