Obituary of Carma Lee Peters

Carma Lee Peters, 68, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord Saturday August 23, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Grundy, VA, she has lived in this area most of her life. She worked for 12 years at the Cumberland Glove Company as a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Alice Hurley; two brothers, Vernon Hurley and Kent Hurley and sister, Juanita Hurley She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Delmer Peters; son, Danny AllenLaneand fiancé, Deborah Pressley; daughter, Becky Jean Arrington and husband Jeff; two granddaughters, Kelly Brooke Frye and husband Andy and April Vaughan and fiancee' Heath Lawson; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Sammy Hurley and wife Linda, Kester "Hugh" Hurley and wife Beverly; two sisters, Jean Duty and husband Kermit and Joyce McNeil and several nieces and nephews The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Tuesday (August 26th, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Roy Lane officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday (August 27th, 2014) at Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those who plan to attend the graveside are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 to follow in procession. Carter-Trent/ Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Peters family.
