Obituary of Jeffrey Lance Cochran

Gate City - Jeffrey Lance Cochran, 53 of Gate City, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at his residence following a long illness. Born in Kingsport, Lance had lived in Gate City for most of his life. He was a contractor and attended Way of Life Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Wanda Cochran. Lance is survived by his daughter, Jenna Cochran; son, Jarrett Cochran; grandchildren; Taylor Cochran, Tierstan Cochran and Tessa Lane; brother, Steve Cochran; several cousins, aunts and uncles; special friend, Tammarra Baker. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Ron Cassidy officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wellmont Hospice, 280 Steeles Road, Bristol, TN 37620. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport is serving the Cochran family.
