Obituary of James Wayne Arnold

Wayne Arnold, 73, of the Yuma community, went to be with the Lord (July 10, 2014) at his home. He retired from General Motors in the Truck/ Bus division after several years of service. Wayne loved to play Rook; and go hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lissie Arnold He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Phyllis Darnell Arnold; daughter, Tammy Spencer and husband Ross, Mt. Morris, Michigan; son, Jeff Arnold and wife Twilla, Gate City; four grandchildren, Alicia Spencer Crabtree and husband Brian, Jackson, Michigan, James Spencer, Blountville, TN, Jeffery Arnold Jr, Ft. Blackmore and Stephen Arnold, Gate City; six great grandchildren, sister, Norma McClellan and husband Dick, Kingsport; and nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Friday (July 11th, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home. A celebration of Wayne's life will follow at 7pm with a eulogy given by Ben Tittsworth and Bro. Pete Barbour officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm Saturday (July 12th, 2014) at Holston View Cemetery. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 to go in procession. Pallbearers will be Bobby Bright, James Spencer, Jeffery Arnold Jr, Stephen Arnold, William Pierson, Brian Crabtree, Eric Hutchinson and Vance Baker. Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Light and Ben Tittsworth. Special thanks should go to Wellmont Hospice, especially Nina Olivia for her special care.
