Obituary of Elsie Marie Fultz

Elsie Marie Fugate Fultz, 84 of Mt. Carmel, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. She lived the majority of her life in Exeter, VA and had resided in Mt. Carmel for the past 10 years. Elsie was a wonderful and loving Christian wife, mother and grandmother who was an inspiration to her entire family and friends. She loved to read her Bible and sing. She was preceded in death by her infant child, Billie Jean Fultz; her parents, Robert and Bessie Fugate; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Elsie is survived by her husband, Robert Fultz; her children, Linda Stidham and husband Eugene, Kathy Franklin and Gale, Janie McMurray and husband Gary, Robert Fultz, Jr. and wife Cheryl, Dennis Fultz and Tammy, Alice Fultz Beeler, and Tammy Goins and husband Larry; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Francisco Duron; special caregiver, Diane Coomer; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. Friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robert Fultz, Jr. and Rev. Aaron Price officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in East Stone Gap, VA. Family will serve as pallbearers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Fultz family.
