Obituary of Michael Norris Price

Michael Norris Price, age 55, of Surgoinsville, TN, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Wexford House in Kingsport. He was a member of Visions Free Will Baptist Church in Kingsport. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and racing; he also loved to listen to bluegrass music. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Jean Price; and grandparents, Clarence and Rosa Price and Melvin and Martha Elizabeth Barrett. He is survived by his son, Shawn Michael Price; daughter, Kelli Jeaneen Price; father, Norris Price; sisters, Melanie Harrell (John), Lisa Powell (Jeff) and Amy Boggs (Rex); brother, Mark Price (Diana); special aunt, Ruth Allen; nieces, Emily, Lynsey and Allie Powell and Kaitlyn Price; nephew, Casey Price; and a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to thank nurse Lydia and all the staff of Wexford House for their care and support for Michael. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill and any time at the home of Mark Price (429 Greenland Ln. Church Hill, TN 37642). Funeral services will begin at 3:00 pm with Rev. Dennis Price officiating. Interment will follow at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
