Obituary of Scott Penley

Scott Penley Psalm 70 Rogersville - Scott Penley, 41, of Rogersville, went home to be with Jesus and his mother early Sunday morning, May 11, 2014 at Indian Path Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Lenoir, NC, spent most of his life in North Carolina and had lived the later part of his life in Tennessee. Scott was a carpenter by trade. He was a loving father and enjoyed fishing. Scott was a free Spirit and loved life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Denise Smith and his father, Albert Jay "Buzz" Penley. Surviving are his children, Kevin Scott Penley, Caleb Sebastian McMillan, Ayden Chance McMillan, Brayden Lee McMillan, Madison Denise Robinson; sisters, Teresa Penley and Cindy Penley; a host of nieces and nephews; family and close friends. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date. "Some birds can't be caged; because their feathers are just too bright." Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the family of Scott Penley.
