Obituary of Helen Pendergrass

Helen Pendergrass, 82 of Kingsport, passed away on Thursday, May 01, 2014 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter M. and Northa Napier Pendergrass, Sr.; sister, Dorothy Marshall; brothers, Walter M. Pendergrass, Jr., John Clifford Pendergrass and Ray Pendergrass. Surviving are her son, Larry Pendergrass; grandson, Zane Matthew Pendergrass; sisters, Pauline Davis and Rita Herndon and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St., Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Paul Allison officiating. A graveside service will follow in Gunning's Cemetery, Blountville. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Helen Pendergrass family.
