Obituary of John Robert Housewright

Johnny Housewright John Robert (Johnny) Housewright, age 68, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord Thursday afternoon, April 24, 2014 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1945, the son of the late John Wiley Housewright and Ella Grace (Holt) Jennings. He was a member of Valley View Missionary Baptist Church and was a Veteran serving in the Air Force (1965-1969). He was a retired employee of Eastman Chemical Company. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Smith and husband, David; son, Robbie Housewright and wife, Kayla, all of Church Hill; five grandchildren, Blake Smith, Devin Hooven, Destiny Fleenor, Alaina Housewright, Adrienne Housewright; two sisters, Georgia Greer of Jonesborough, Judy Taylor of Kingsport; two nieces, one nephew and a host of friends and other relatives. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 1115 Hwy. 11-W, Church Hill with funeral service to follow at 7 pm with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh, Pastor Ronnie Grimes officiating. Music will be provided by Jerrad Morelock. A Military graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Sunday April 27, 2014 at Elm Springs Church Cemetery conducted by American Legion Post 3/265. Pallbearers will be his son and friends. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 pm. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the family of Johnny Housewright.
