Obituary of Logan Rose

God received another angel when Logan Rose, 16, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Kingsport and had lived in Kingsport all her life. Logan enjoyed going to the Dobyns-Bennett football games. She was our little "weekend warrior" a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend and she loved spending time with her family. Logan had an outgoing personality and a beautiful smile that touched everyone's heart. The family would like to extend a special thank you to family and friends for their prayers, love and support. She was preceded in death by paternal great grandmothers, Opal Rose Dykes and Ina Ruth Reese; paternal great grandfather, Jay Rose; paternal grandmother, Patricia Wells Rose; maternal grandparents, Mamaw and Papaw Mellons and a great uncle Gary Campbell. Surviving are her parents, Jason and Tracie Roberts Rose; siblings, Landon Rose and wife, Cassie, Cassie Rose and Chae Rose; maternal grandparents, Connie and Roger Calhoun, Tommy Mellons; paternal grandparents, Danny Rose and Kathy Bremer and husband Terry; maternal great grandmother, Betty Berry; nephew, Xander Rodgers; niece, Xoe Rodgers, several aunts, uncles, cousins and several best friends including a special close friend Miranda. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm Tuesday at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St., Kingsport. A Memorial Service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Richard Dice officiating and a Eulogy given by Sherry York. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family c/o Danny Rose, 2205 Maxwell Ave., Kingsport, TN 37664, to help with funeral expenses.
