Obituary of M. Dale Walls

M. Dale Walls, 82, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord (March 11, 2014) at Indian Path Medical Center. A native of War Eagle, West Virginia, he has lived in this area most of his life. He retired from Liberty National Life Insurance after many years of service. The last several years he enjoyed spending time hunting and especially fishing and camping. He was a member of Homeland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Awyn Ann Wheeler Walls; son, Victor Walls and grandson, Brian David Walls He is survived by two sons, Remley Walls and wife Sandy, Columbus, Ohio and Carlyle Walls and wife Bobbie, Florida; two daughters, Yolanda Steadman and husband Jerry, Kingsport and Jennifer Reed and husband Ken, Rugby, North Dakota; daughter in law, Judy Walls, Texarkana, Texas and special friend, Marie Crusenberry, Kingsport; Brother, Colin Walls and wife Lois, Elizabethton; sisters, Geraldine Spence and Genevieve Stephens and husband Jack of Ohio The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Friday at Homeland Baptist Church, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Pastor J.W. Depew officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am Saturday at East Lawn Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Winters, Ray Rose, Gary Spears, Allen Brown, Doyle Robinson, Coble Ramsey, Jim Culbertson and Larry Donald
