Obituary of Neva Ford Edwards

Fall Branch - Neva Ford Edwards, 84, of Fall Branch, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her beloved husband, Charles,Thursday, December 26, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Bristol, Tennessee, lived in Blountville most of her life and had lived in Fall Branch for the past thirty four years. Mrs. Edwards was a member of Fall Branch United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her flowers, feeding the birds and most of all spending time with her family and neighborhood children. She was preceded in death by husband, Charles Edwards; parents, Jacob and Elizabeth Minton Ford; a sister, Ethel Erwin and a brother, Warren Ford. Surviving are her children, Belenda Chase and husband, Michael of Terrell, Texas, Nancy Baker and husband, Randall of Stratford, Iowa, Charles "Timmie" Edwards and wife, Chun of Fall Branch, Dona Chaffin of Church Hill and Sandra Rock and husband, Billy of Fall Branch; eight grandchildren, Randi Baker, Brock Chase, Daniel Baker, Tina Edwards, Stacee Andes, Coree Tolley, Joshua Rock and Tanner Rock, ten great grandchildren; sister, Patsy Wiggins and husband, Bob of Johnson City; brothers, Stacy Ford and wife. Ferne of Pensacola, Florida, Lester Ford of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Archie Ford and wife, Frances of Winfield, Alabama, Ward Ford and wife, Sherry of Meridian, Mississippi and Daryl Ford and wife, Sue of Hickory, Mississippi; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5 - 7 pm Sunday at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St., Kingsport. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, December 30, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Susan Lankford officiating. A graveside service will follow at Walnut Chapel Cemetery. Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown Kingsport is serving the family of Neva Edwards.
