I was very saddened to learn of Mr. Oaks' death. I became librarian at Volunteer High School after his wife retired from that position, and I so admired both of them. I remember chatting with him about travel, and I appreciated his interest in my trips, which included visits to many places he had been. He was so kind to personally deliver magazines to the library. I feel honored to have known him and his wife. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I always remember calling him one of the overhome boys. That is what my dad always calls people from Sneedville he knows and James would say that too. He was a sweet heart. Sorry for your loss and I feel like mine too. I pray God gives you peace during this time. Love you guys Teresa Carr
