Darleen, Dru and the rest of the family, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. No matter how old we are, it is still hard to lose a parent. Someone that has been a part of your life from the beginning. Time will eventually heal your pain and the tears will turn into smiles and laughter when you reminisce and tell stories about the things you loved and remember about him. You and your families are in our prayers. Love, Sandy, Ben, Izzy and Alex Lanier

Drucilla and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. John was a good man. He always made it to the ballgames if he could. You could tell he loved his family. Your family showed great strength through his sickness and was there for him. I hope you can find some peace in knowing how much he loved all of you and that he would not want you to suffer.
God Bless,
Selma Woods

John was the best father-in-law a guy could ever have. I have known him for over 35 years and he never said anything bad about anyone. I hope he knew I always looked up to him. I loved him and was proud that I was a part of his family. Rick Lawson

My Grandfather was my hero. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone and was always positive and cheerful about seeing his family. It hurt me in a way that words could never explain to see him lying there in the hospital knowing there was nothing I could do to help him. There are countless things that I am going to miss about him, but most of all was the way his face would light up every time I would come visit he and my grandmother. He was a great man who never seemed to be in a bad mood and could always build me up, even in the worst of times. I know he never missed a sporting event of any of his grandchildren if he could help it and I wish I could let him know how much that meant to me. Finally, I hope I made my Papaw John proud. With all the mistakes I have made in my life he was always there for me, but my one wish is that he was proud of me. I love you Papaw, and I know we will meet again someday... and I will beat you at cards, like always.

John, I've never known a father more loved and admired by his family. I watched them sit by your side 24X7 for 24 days always with love, hope and prayers that you would be coming home soon. Your family knows that you are in a better place now, but you have left a hole in their hearts that will never be filled. So many happy memories and stories they have shared with me. What a wonderful legacy you have left behind.
Respectfully Rob Osborne
