Obituary of Maxine Sensabaugh

Church Hill - Maxine L. Sensabaugh, 99, of Church Hill, went home to be with the Lord Friday evening, November 22, 2013 at her residence after a long illness. She was born in Gate City, Virginia, she was a former resident of Kingsport and had lived in Church Hill most of her life. Mrs. Sensabaugh retired from Eastman and attended Ross Campground United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Sensabaugh; parents, William B. and Pearl Sampson Lane; daughter in law, Karen Davenport Sensabaugh and a brother, Stanley Lane. Surviving are her son, Roger Sensabaugh of Church Hill; grandson, Clint Sensabaugh and wife Kristy of Mount Carmel and two great granddaughters, Kiera Sensabaugh and Jasmine Sensabaugh; sister, Virginia Larkins of Topeka, Kansas; sister in law, Mildred Lane of Longview, Texas and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Monday, November 23, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home 1115 Highway 11W, Church Hill. A Funeral Service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh, Rev. Calvin Tabor and Rev. Mike Ladd officiating. A graveside will be conducted at 1 pm Tuesday, November 24, 2013 at Ross Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:50 pm.
