Obituary of Ted Etchason

Edward (Ted) Etchason, 82, of Rogersville, passed away on Wednesday (September 4, 2013) in Knoxville following a brief illness. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and spent the majority of his life in Kokomo, Indiana. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Etchason retired from the Chrysler Corporation. Following retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, his animals, his cat, "Sheba" and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Ted was preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn Etchason; a son, Curtis Etchason; parents, Charles and Nettie Smith Etchason. Ted Etchason is survived by his sister, Helen Robertson and husband, Bob (Kokomo, IN); a daughter, Joni Raines (Indiana); his special friend, Mitchell Smith (Rogersville, TN) along with several nieces and nephews. A military graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday (September 10, 2013) at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memory Garden in Kokomo, Indiana. Family will receive friend at the cemetery 2 hours prior to the services. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Etchason family.
