Obituary of Michael Padgett

Michael Scott Padgett, 53 of Mount Carmel, passed away early Monday morning (June 24, 2013) at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in New York and had resided in Mount Carmel for the past 28 years. He was the owner/operator of Padgett's Carpet Service for over 25 years. Michael was a member of the Kingsport Moose Lodge #972 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3141 in Kingsport. He loved all types of outdoor activities, especially bike riding. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Aline Salomone and his father Bobby Padgett. Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Vicki Mayers Padgett, daughter, Chelsea Padgett Moffett & husband Brian of Johnson City; a very special mother in law, Pat Mayers of Mt. Carmel and grandfather, Peter (Pop) Salomone & wife Marilyn of Florida. The family will receive friends from 1 - 3 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3 pm with Rev. Jack Edwards, officiating. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Padgett family.
