Obituary of Braden Johnson
Braden Edward Johnson, 85 of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Page, West Virginia Braden had lived in Church Hill for most of his life. He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Army and retired from AFG in Hawkins County. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Church Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; 3 brothers.
Braden is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan Kincaid Johnson; daughters, Judy Eidson and husband Rick and Jane Mannering and husband Randal; grandchildren, Brad Mannering, Ricky Eidson, Jr. and Cory Eidson; great-grandchildren, Chloe Dorton and Cody Eidson; brother, Robert Johnson; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Carolyn and Kenneth Davis.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. Friends may also call anytime at the residence.
A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Gary Gerhardt officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Holston View Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
