Obituary of Fred Ray Click

Fred Ray Click, 99 of Mount Carmel, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Indian Path Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and retired from Holston Defense following many years of service. Fred enjoyed playing golf and shooting pool with his friends until health restricted it. He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Mary Ruth Click; parents, George T. and Della Shipley Click; son-in-law, Charles Fuller; sisters, Eliza Taylor, Pauline Sexton, Mary Price and Pearl Glover; brothers, Lucian Click, Thomas Click and Harold Click.. Fred is survived by his daughter, Glenna Fuller of Mt Carmel; granddaughters, Carole Fuller of Mt Carmel and Caren Fuller Bates and husband Brian of Cookeville, TN; great-granddaughter, Leeah Brooke Bates; great-grandson, Tyler Charlee Bates; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 1115 Hwy 11W, Church Hill, TN. Friends may also call anytime at the home of the daughter. A graveside service will follow the receiving of friends, at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Mount Carmel with Dr. Randy Presnell officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Parker, Carl Newland and Joe Newland. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregivers Mary Greer, Joanie Arnold and Brenda Salyers who enabled him to live in his home until his last days, and the 4th floor staff at Indian Path Medical Center for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, General Fund, 311 Cypress Street, Mount Carmel, TN 37645.
