Obituary of Ina Kathleen Peters

Ina Kathleen Leedy Peters, 71 of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, May 4, 2013 at the home of her mother in Church Hill. She was a member of Ft. Robinson Baptist Church and was saved at age 12. Ina was a retired employee of BAE Systems. She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Hensley; daughter, Tammy Bradshaw; grandson, Evan Stone and also Jess McMurray. Survivors include her mother, Ina Grace Hensley of Church Hill; daughter, Angela Carland and fiance' Chris Odom of Kingsport; two sons, Richard Bradshaw (U.S. Navy) and Chris Leedy & wife, Teresa of Kingsport; six grandchildren, Kristen K. Leedy, Zachary Carland, Chandler Carland, Kristel Pratt, Katie Turner Pinkham and Melissa Bradshaw; five great grandchildren, Skylar Pratt, Natalie Pratt, Noah Pratt, Jacob Stone, and Braden Stone; brother, Ronald Allen McMurray of Church Hill; sister, Rita Linkous of Church Hill; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm in the funeral chapel with Brother David Hooker officiating. Music will be provided by pianist, Michelle Cross and singers, Brenda Hooker and Amy Hooker Conner. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport. Pallbearers will be Kevin Pratt, Zachary Carland, Chandler Carland, Skylar Pratt, Ronald Allen McMurray and Joey Morgan. Chris Odom will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am. The family would like to express a Thank You to U.T. Hospice of Morristown and special caregivers, Joey Morgan and Vickie Walls. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the family of Ina Peters.
