I'm so sorry to hear of Mr Sander's passing. My father, Billy Ray Scott, grew up with him and I remember him speaking fondly of "Junior" through the years. He used to come to our house in Danville when on business with Goodyear and he always was so friendly and had such a nice smile. Donna Scott Sewell

What a sweet tribute to Uncle Dewey. Must say I never knew his middle name was Columbus! Many sweet memories with him like the Rainbow Brite doll he gave me when I was 10. I still have it at Mom and Dads'. He took us to the Space Center in Alabama when we visited. The year I was at King College, he invited my roommate and I to come spend the weekend with him in Kingsport to have some time away from the dorm and home cooking. He was a good cook! He gave us the keys to the Cadillac and said, "Go have fun! You are young and need to get out." Time spent on the porch just talking with him and Betty and mom and Dad. Lastly, he made the trip to my college graduation at Virginia Tech to support me. I will miss catching up with him. He kept us all young. Love to you all - Wish I could attend the services. You are in my prayers, Betty, Michael, Susie, Melissa, Steve, Laura, Katie, Megan, and Sean.

To My Cousins and Betty: Ronnie and I are so very sorry to hear about Dewey's passing- but, blessed to know that when he crossed old Jordan- there was many, there, to greet him who, I know, was so glad to see him---especially, his Loving Lord and Saviour, Jesus. January 17th, 2015 was his Coronation Day! I know that most, if not ALL, of you are saved and ready to take your journey to be reunited with him, again, on Heaven's Bright Shore. No more goodbye's- no more cemeteries; only JOY and GLADNESS forevermore. I look SO forward to going HOME when Jesus comes to get me, either in The Rapture or at the hour of my death. There's so many there, that I long to see, again. But, most of all, my Blessed Saviour who laid down His life for me- when I was so unworthy. I don't regret a mile I've traveled for our Lord. We'll be praying for all of you, and please pray for us-- that we'll get closer to HIM. See you in The Rapture dear cousin Dewey, and sweet Norma. God Bless and Comfort you ALL. With much love- cousin Juana Rae and Ronnie.
