Obituary of William D. Vines

William D. Vines Jr. 97 of Kingsport went to be with the lord on December 3, 2014 at Tennova Healthcare in Knoxville. Bill was born July 13, 1917 to the late William D. Vines and Mary Blake Vines. He lived in Gate City, VA for 10 years before moving to Kingsport, TN in 1950. Bill Retired from Tennessee Eastman in 1987 and was a longtime , devoted member of Mafair United Methodist Church. He is Preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Ozella Eastridge Vines, and wife Naomi Dorton Vines. Bill is Survived by three children: William D. Vines, III (Dawn) of Knoxville, Robert D. Vines (Hortensia) of El Paso, and Susan O. Vines of Knoxville; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Kim Goddard officiating. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 PM. In lieu of flowers , memorial contributions may be made to Mafair United Methodist Church.
