Obituary of Euna Mae Shaw

Euna Mae "Aunt Unny" Shaw 92 of Kingsport passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 after an extended illness at Wexford House, Kingpsort Euna was born in Sneedville, TN on April 1922. She was retired from J.P. Stevens after almost 45 years of service. Euna devoted her life to feeding family, friends and anyone she could help with her delicious cooking and canning. She was saved as a young girl at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church and later rededicated her llife to the Lord. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Andy J. and Maggie (Lawson) Shaw; an infant sister, Fleddie Pearl; three sisters, Mary Sue Stapleton, Geneva Jane Mann, Hazel Ruth Cope with her infant daughter, Kathy Lynn Cope; four brothers, Austin T. Shaw, "Jay" Shaw, Hubert G. Shaw and recently, Lucian Shaw. Euna is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Sandra G. Riner, Jeffery (Sharon) L. Mann, Larry (Rhonda) W. Osborne, Beverly (Gary S. Percy, Terri (Larry) L. Scherbeth, Johnny Shaw, Charlotte Shaw, Lisa Shaw, Lujina Shaw, Gary Shaw; many great-nieces and great-nephews; brother-in-law and care giver, James (Sue) H. Mann; sisters-in-law, Opal Shaw and Sis Shaw. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport with services following at 7 pm with Pastor Wayne Baker. Friends may also call anytime at the home of her niece, Sandra Riner on Wateree Street, Kingsport. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Michael Haynes, Dustin Riner, Derek Mann, Jeff Mann and Larry Osborne. The family would like to extend special Thanks to all the staff and nurses that took such wonderful care of Euna. Their kindness and love will always be appreciated by her family.
