Obituary of Arthur L Wright

Arthur L. Wright, 86 of Kingsport passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Holston Manor Nursing Home. He was a Long Haul Trucker most of his adult life, traveling throughout the Midwest. He was a veteran of WW II and Korea. Arthur was a Life Member of the American Legion Post #5 in Peterborough, NH and a life member of the V.F. W. Post 8268, Bennington, NH where he served as a Senior Vice Commander. He was also a life member of the Firemen Museum in Digby, Nova Scotia. He loved gardening and growing flowers. Upon retiring on disability in 1988, he did his family genealogy and had the good fortune to find many of his relatives to which he and his wife traveled to and visited in Canada. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth Cecelia Bruno Wright and his parents, Loran and Beatrice Barrett Wright. Survivors include his three daughters, CeCelia A. Wright of Kingsport, Sandra Boykin of Jacksonville, FL, Patricia A. Hall of Rantoul, IL; three sons, Charles Whitaker, Gregg L. Trimble, Frederick Ekstrom & wife Florence of Chesterfield, VA; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.; a sister, Marion Henderson of Ft. Myers, FL; and brother, Walter L. Wright of Jaffery, NH. The family will receive friends from 1 - 3 pm on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. Graveside services will be held at a later time in Upper Pine Hill Cemetery, Peterborough, NH Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the family of Arthur L. Wright.
