Obituary of Winifred Mae Eaton

Winifred "Winnie" Mae Eaton, age 74, of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and was an avid animal lover. She was preceded in death by her parents, Romeo II and Rosetta Goddard; and brothers, Jerry Goddard and Romeo Goddard III. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Bob Eaton; daughters, Ginny Mowell (Joel), Tonie Jonas (Darrell); son, Charles Graeser (Amber); brother, Frank Goddard; sister-in-law, Susan Goddard; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, a host of friends and special dog of 8 years, Lucky, and other furry friends around the home. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital, Wellmont Hospice, Dr. Kay Boons and nurse Connie, Dr. Kramer, and especially to Debbie Peters and Paula Garland for their continued support and care. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Danny Dolan officiating. Interment will follow will follow at Bradshaw's Chapel Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of your choice. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is honored to serve the Eaton family.
