Obituary of Polly Fuller Repass

Kingsport - Polly Fuller Repass died in her sleep early Wednesday morning, October 22, 2014 after a brief illness. Throughout her long life, Polly loved her family, her church and her friends. She was born and raised in Scott County, VA. Following World War II, Polly, with her husband, Gale and young son Jerry, moved to Kingsport where she spent the remainder of her life. Polly was employed by the J.C. Penney Company for many years and was an active member of Temple Baptist Church. She was blessed with a family that loved her dearly and with many wonderful friends and neighbors. Polly enjoyed traveling and continued to do so until shortly before her illness. She was also an avid gardener and loved working with her beautiful flowers. She was predeceased by her spouse, Gale Repass in November 1993; her parents, Curtis and Elizabeth Fuller; four sisters, and two brothers. Polly is survived by her two children, Jerry Repass and wife Patsy of Kingsport and Carolyn Pierson Cook and husband Steve of Kingsport; she was blessed with three grandchildren, Myra Atkins and husband, Chris of Perth, Australia, Scott Repass of Greenville, SC and Julie Pierson-Fields and husband Steve of Fayetteville, NC; four beautiful great grandchildren; brother, Pat Fuller; along with several special nieces and nephews. A special thank you goes out to her nieces, Mildred Rogers, Jo Ann Roberson and Libby Smith for all of your loving care and support during her brief illness. A celebration of life service honoring Polly's life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday October 25, 214 at Temple Baptist Church, 2200 Memorial Court, Kingsport with Rev. Jack Edwards and Rev. Scott Young officiating. Music will be provided by Wayne & Karen Fortner. The family will receive friends following the service at a reception in the church family life center. A private burial service will be held earlier in the day. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Baptist Church at 2200 Memorial Court, Kingsport, TN 37664.
