Obituary of Willie Kate McMurray

Willie Kate McMurray, 84, of Hiltons, went to be with the Lord on (Friday September 5th, 2014) at her home, surrounded by her family. She loved her Lord and was a faithful member of Glenwood Community Church. She loved all her family and friends; and they were all her "little dolls". She was preceded in death by her husband, Silven McMurray; parents, McKinley and Alice (Ketron) Olinger; three sisters, Lakie Dixon, Clevie Ketron and Sylvia Ball; three brothers, Orville Olinger, S.J. Olinger and Carl Olinger. Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Zazzi and husband Don; three sons, Don McMurray and wife Judy, Gorman McMurray and wife Barbara and Larry McMurray and wife Sharon; four granddaughters, Michelle Bellamy and husband Tracy, Autumn Arnold, Bethany McMurray and Laree McMurray; two sisters, Betty Barnett and husband Robert and Ruby Sampson and husband Tony; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Monday (September 8th, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Ronnie Horne officiating. Music will be provided by the Glenwood Singers. A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm Tuesday (September 9th, 2014) at Glenwood Cemetery. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm. Pallbearers will be Rick Quillen, Kenneth Neeley, Bill Tignor, Rex McMurray, William Bowen, Joe Ketron and Hayes Osborne. Honorary Pallbearers are Ralph McMurray, Eddie McMurray and Bobby McNutt. Special thanks should go to the nurses with MSHA for their great care of her in these past several days. Those desiring may make donations to the Glenwood Community Church Building Fund, 2524 McMurray Hollow Rd., Hiltons, Virginia 24258, in Mrs. McMurray's honor.
