Obituary of Violet Ward

Violet Ward, age 80, of Rogersville, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport TN. She was a retiree of Indian Path Medical Center after 15 years of service. She attended Fairview Holiness Church in Rogersville. She was a very wonderful wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her mother, Katie Crawford Overbay; and father, Jim D. Crawford. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Roy Ward; daughter, Velma Ward Kincheloe and husband, Lyle; and son Donnie Roy (Duck) Ward and wife, Connie. Pallbearers serving the Ward family will be, Donnie Roy (Duck) Ward, Lyle Kincheloe, Bill Gohel, Larry Jobe, Lynn Jobe, Mike Ward and Edward Ward. The family would like to thank all of the medical staff at Wellmont Holston Valley Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit and ETSU Internal Medicine Physicians. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. Funeral service will follow with Bro. Josh Steadman officiating. Special singing will be provided by Ed and Eleanor Ward. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at Bowser Cemetery. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is honored to serve the Ward family.
