Obituary of Brenda Louise Adams

Kingsport - Brenda Louise Adams, of Kingsport, entered into eternal rest, following a brief battle with cancer on Saturday, August 2, 2014. She retired on February 14 of 2014 after 42 years of dedicated employment as an Employee Relations Manager for Wellmont. She was a very loving wife, mother and "nana". She was preceded in death by her parents, Merrill and Gladys Anderson. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Sherman Adams; daughter, Angela Farmer and husband, John; son, Gregory Scott Adams and wife Santana; grandchildren, Daniel Scott Adams, Alexander and Zachary Farmer; great grandson, Kyler Adams; along with a host of an extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 6 pm on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A service will follow at 6 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Don Hanshew officiating. A graveside service will be held 11 am Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Farmer, Daniel Adams, Darrell Adams, Gerald Adams, Dimingo Hale and Brent Warner. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 am to go to the cemetery in a procession. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Wellmont Cancer Institute and her coworkers of Wellmont for the care and friendship they have shown.
