Obituary of Errett Edward Vaughn

Errett Edward Vaughn, 64, of Gate City, passed away (Tuesday July 8th, 2014) at his home following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his wife 45 years, Debbie Vaughn; his son, Eddie Vaughn; parents, Ida and Bud Vaughn; three brothers, Henry, Clarence and Jerry Vaughn and sister, Marie Ramey Robins He is survived by two grandchildren, Josh Vaughn and wife Kayla, Amanda Grizzle and husband Tyler both of Gate City, VA; five great grandchildren, Shaleigh, Hannah, Hunter, Emily and Matthew; three brothers, Claude Vaughn and wife Mildred, Kingsport, Lenard Vaughn and wife Ethel, Yuma, Va and Pete Vaughn and wife Edna, Gate City; three sisters, Sue Burton, Hiltons, VA, Debbie Egan and husband Jay, Duffield, VA and Bobbie Payne, Duffield; and several nieces and nephews The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Thursday (July 10th, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Mark Sexton and Rev. Echol Herron officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 3pm Friday (July 11th, 2014) at Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50pm. Carter-Trent/ Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Vaughn family.
