Obituary of Fleeta Dale Jayne

Fleeta Dale (Lane) Jayne, 85 of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at her home. She was born on May 3, 1928 in Scott County, Virginia to the late William David and Hettie Jane Edwards Lane. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Henry Thomas Jayne, Jr. Survivors include her three sons, Dan Jayne & wife Rhonda, Stan Jayne, and Larry M. Jayne & Kathy, all of Kingsport; her sister, Margaret Creasman; brother, Don B. Lane & wife Phyllis; eight grandchildren, Greg Jayne, Eric Jayne, Erin Jayne-Littrell, Lauren Jayne, Danielle Jayne, Sarah Jayne-Hammonds, Jacob Jayne, and Abbey Jayne; eleven great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was loved by all that knew her. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday, April 19. 2014 at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA with Rev. J.C. Riner, officiating. The family would like to offer special thanks to her caregivers, Linda, Kay and Margie and to the wonderful care and attention of the nurses of Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice, Carey, Erica, Sharon and Paula. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Jayne family.
