Obituary of Jackie Wright Tipton

Jackie Wright Tipton, 59 of Kingsport went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. A homemaker, Jackie loved looking at pictures. She was a very simple, kind hearted woman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Burma Fields Wright; her sister, Joyce Gilliam and two brothers, Russell Wright and Richard Wright. Survivors include her son, Phillip Tipton & wife Jessi; her two daughters, Crystal Yakoley and Toni Tipton; special grandchildren, Justin Stallard, Hannah Casteel, Kayla Tipton, Blake Tipton, Jessie Tipton and Teagan Tipton; step-mother, Hazel Wright; siblings, Rick Wright, June Arnold, Juanita Weddle, Connie Kaywood and Janice Skeens; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3 - 4 pm on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Hermon United Methodist, Gate City, VA with service at 4 pm with Rev. David Wadsworth, officiating. Burial will follow in Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Gate City, VA. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Tipton family.
