Obituary of Dorothy Louise Stanley

Dorothy Louise Castle Stanley's Lord and Savior called his daughter home (Sunday April 6, 2014) surrounded by her family. She was born August 25, 1935 to the late Conley and Emma Mae Dinsmore Castle in Sullivan County, Tn. Dorothy accepted the Lord as her Savior and was baptized in the year of our Lord 2006. She enjoyed talking and spending time with her family and friends. Even tho she was housebound for the last few years she was never alone for she always had her Savior and her daughter LouAnn with her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Rudolph Stanley; two brothers Robert "Bob" Castle and Frank Castle and two sisters, Stella Mae Hooper and Margaret Williams She was the proud mother of three children, daughter LouAnn Stanley, Duffield and two sons, Michael Stanley, New York, New York and Clyne Stanley, Lane Station, Indiana. Dorothy had nine grandchildren, David Easterly and wife Carrie, Amos Bishop and wife Sarah, Kenny Bishop and wife Crystal, Shannon Bishop and wife Vickie, Mike Stanley Jr, Adam Stanley, Mark Stanley, Corey Stanley and Courtney Stanley; six great grandchildren, Robert Easterly, Kash Easterly, Kelli Bishop, Lexi Bishop, Gabriel Stanley and Katelyn Thomas; one great great granddaughter, Bridgett Easterly; sister, Juanita Vaughn and husband Stewart; sisters in law, Wanda Castle and Thelma Castle; and many nieces and nephews. They loved her dearly and will miss her. The family will receive friends from 12noon till 3pm Wednesday (April 9th, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3pm with Pastor Greg Street officiating. Burial will follow at the Meredith Cemetery in the Jasper community of Duffield. Pallbearers will be Kenny Bishop, Shannon Bishop, Daryl Castle, Adam Stanley, David Easterly, Mike Stanley Jr, Clyne Stanley and Michael Stanley. Honorary pallbearers are Amos Bishop and Stanley Vaughn Carter-Trent/ Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Stanley family.
