Obituary of Aldis Gardner

Aldis Gardner, 90, of Hiltons, went to be with the Lord (Tuesday, March 18, 2014) at her home. A native of Wise County, she has lived in Scott County most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.J. " Bill" Gardner; parents, Dave and Sarah Phillips; three sisters, Pearl Hicks, Nettie Phillips and Edna Sturgill; five brothers, Elbert, Leonard, Thurston, Andy and Oliver Phillips She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Connie Gardner and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Friday (March 21, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Tommy Osborne and Rev. Rex McMurray officiating. Music will be provided by the Bowlin family. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am Saturday (March 22, 2014) at the Gardner Cemetery in Hiltons. Pallbearers will be Chris Carter, Scott Carter, Brandon Carter, Regan McMurray, Rick McMurray and Harlan Hobbs. Carter-Trent/ Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Gardner family.
