Carolyn was a 1st cousin to my dad, Arthur Taylor. I remember Carolyn only as a younger sister to Charley and Herman as we played and romped as kids around Big Mocassin. I just happened across her obituary on the internet today. My deepest condolences to all the family. From what I gather from the messages I read here, Carolyn was a fine Christian mother, who I know you all will miss and were very proud of. It is wonderful to hear she was such a fine Christian. We all just need to make arrangements to meet her again someday.

Dear Family,
I had the extreme pleasure of caring for Mrs. Taylor while she was at Holston Valley. I am truly sorry for your loss. While I didn't know her for a long period of time I found her to be a completely warm and wonderful person. She spoke lovingly of her family and and her loved ones. I thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with her. I feel like she was one of those people who bless others with her joy and kindness. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God bless each of you. Kindest regards, Misty White

Although I cannot be with my family during this time, I love you all. Aunt Carolyn was my "mother" after mom passed and growing up she was my best friend. One of my fondest memories is learning how to blow bubbles with gum and laying between her and Cathy and listening to boy gossip. We are the lucky ones to have had her in our life and I will miss her terribly.

My heart-felt sympathy to Stephen (little Max and Kelsey) in the loss of a precious mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. I also extended my sympathy to her husband, her brother Herman (and Judy) and the rest of her family. There is a unique sense of loss and hurt in our lives and hearts when we lose the one that gave us birth, a dear spouse, a doting grandparent, a beloved sibling or a dear friend. But praise God, His grace is sufficient for all. May His face shine upon each of you and give you the peace that only He can give. Carolyn was many things to many people. She fought the fight and her job on earth is done. Her last breath on earth was her first breath in heaven. She suffers no more. May God's comfort and strength, her love for you and the precious memories of her time with you, carry you in the days ahead and abide with you until you meet again.

When we purchased our home from Gary and Carolyn Taylor in 2005 little did we know we were gaining two wonderful Christian friends as well. They certainly made us feel welcome in Church Hill. We shared interests in the antique car hobby, traveled to shows and cruise-ins and shared many an evening meal together followed with a game of dominoes. Carolyn was a loving and caring friend, like a sister to each of us. We loved her dearly and will miss her cheerful smile, her laughter and most of all her Christian fellowship. Rest in Peace dear friend, we will see you again someday.
