Obituary of Bill Goode

Church Hill - Bill Goode, Jr. 73 of Church Hill, went to be with the love of his life, JoAnn, in heaven on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Holston Valley Medical Center with all of his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Mowell Goode; parents, Bill and Nancy Goode; sisters, Shelby Goode, Ella Mae Goode, Ruby Duty and Edith Bowlin; brother, John Goode; son, Christopher Billy Goode and grandson, Chad Salyer. Bill is survived by his children, Teresa Salyer and husband Ronnie, Kenneth Dwight Goode and wife Kathy, Lisa Harris and husband Glen, Jimmy Goode and wife Ronda, Jeff Goode and wife Treasa and Patricia Helton and husband Billy; grandchildren, Elishia and Ryan, Jessica and Josh, Victoria and Josh, Rebecca and Matt, Hunter, Joseph and Stephanie, Christopher, Zachary, Morgan, Brittany; great-grandchildren, Logan, Hayden, Dixie, Michael and baby Martin; special friend, Doyle Rutherford; brothers, H.K. Goode, Randall Goode and wife Reba; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill, TN. Friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Larry Bledsoe officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Goode, Hunter Williams, Doyle Rutherford, Christopher Goode, Zachary Goode, Timothy Hensley and Billy Joseph Helton. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Goode family.
