Obituary of Dorine S. Dixon

Church Hill - Dorine S. "Doddie" Dixon, 88 of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Indian Path Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Brevard, NC, Dorine had lived in Church Hill since 1950. She attended Mt Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Augustine C. Dixon; parents, James Siniard and Ruby Tinsley Siniard; sisters, Josie Rutledge, Nell Turpin and Margie Poe; brother, James "Bud" Siniard; son-in-law, Raymond Ball Dorine is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Ball; sons, Bobby Lee Dixon and wife Nita, Danny W. Dixon and Joe S. Dixon; grandchildren, Mark Dixon and wife Rebecca, Tammy Saults and husband Ronnie, Scott Ball, Steven Ball and wife Kristy, Teresa Fields and husband Denny, Danny Dixon, Jr. and wife Danessa, Sherry Crawford and husband David, Troy Dixon, Randy Dixon, Andy Dixon and Tim Dixon and wife Melissa; many great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren and many special friends of the Mt Mitchell Church Community. The family will receive friends from 5- 7 pm Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill, TN. Friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday at Mt Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Frank Gilliam, Rev. James Crews and Elder Fred Gilreath officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt Mitchell Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Ball, Troy Dixon, Danny Dixon, Jr. Tim Dixon, Randy Dixon, Andy Dixon, Wade McMurray and Tanner Dixon.
