Obituary of Leola Kathryn Graham

Leola Kathryn Graham, 92, stepped into heaven in her high heels on Wed., Dec. 18, 2013. The daughter of the late Gladys and Garland Berry, she was born in Moorland, Iowa on February 21, 1921. On May 3, 1939 she married Harold C. Graham. She was a homemaker and mother of four children: Ronald Graham and wife, Barbara, of Fergus Falls, MN; Edward Graham and wife , Mary, of Santa Rosa, CA; Linda Gang and husband, Ed, of Bartlett, TN; and Kathryn Bryant and husband, Bernard, of Gray, TN. Leola attended church throughout her life; however, she did not have a personal relationship with the Lord until 1964, when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She had the privilege of going on a number of Lay Witness missions, sharing God's amazing grace with others. She was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church for nineteen years. Showing unconditional love to everyone, Leola lived with a spirit of gratitude, always ready to give and to encourage others. She often found humor in everyday life. Her specialty was baking each family member's favorite pie, because, "Pie brings them home." She was preceded in death by her much-beloved husband, Harold, and one sister. Surviving, in addition to her children, are one brother, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two nieces, and three nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday December 21, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church. A service will follow with Pastor Don McCann officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Monday at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Pallbearers will be Wayne Cowden, Randy Douthat, Mike McCann, Dennis Millman, Archie Moody, and Denver Raines. In lieu of flowers, Leola requested that memorial contributions be given for Bibles to The Gideons International, Kingsport East, P.O.
