Obituary of Peyton Michael Flanary

Peyton Michael Flanary Church Hill - Peyton Michael Flanary, Our beloved son, Peyton Flanary, 16, of Church Hill, went on to his eternal reward in Heaven on Wednesday morning, December 4, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born in Kingsport where he spent the majority of his life. Peyton was a Junior at Volunteer Comprehensive High School where he played soccer and was #3 on the team. He loved to hunt and play basketball. Peyton was born again of the Water and of the Spirit on February 20, 2005. He was a very active member in the Youth in ACTSion at Christian Life Center, Kingsport. He really took the lead in bringing his friends to church. He actively participated in the P7 program in this area. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Nan Wilson; great grandparents, Curtis and Wanda Boggs; great grandparents, Gene and Betty Franks; great great grandparents, Echol and Maggie Tomlinson; great uncle, William Skeen, Jr. and great aunt, Kathy McMurray. Surviving are his parents, Rev. Jackie and Cindy Flanary, Jr.; brothers, Braden Flanary and Cason Flanary, grandparents, Jackie and Glenna Flanary, Sr., grandparents, Diana and Roger Rhoton; John and Ellen Franks; great grandparents, Lois Campbell, Ezra and Jan Flanary, Betty Skeen, and Mac and Lola McDuff; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; along with his best friends, Brent Boggs, Lee Harper, Dillon Harper, Marshall Campbell and a host of many other special friends. The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 7 pm Friday, December 6, 2013 at Christian Life Center, 2401 N Johns B. Dennis Highway, Kingsport or anytime at the residence. A service will follow at 7 pm at the church with Pastor Keith Barker, Youth Pastor Kevin Harper; Bishop James E. Tharp, Rev. Jeremy Carver and District Superintendent Ron Brown. Music will be provided by Rikki McCugh and the Christian Life Center Praise Team, Freddie Combs, and Rev. Chris Fitzwater. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City with Brent Boggs, Lee Harper, Dylan Harper, Spencer Flanary, Marshall Campbell, Austin Hammonds, Brogan Jennings and Justin Crawford serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Christian, Youth in ACTSion and his very close friends. Family and friends attending the graveside are asked to meet at Christian Life Center by 10:15 am Saturday.
