Some forty plus years ago, "Jonesy" (the name by which we knew Loreeda) was an important part of my life. My roommate at Mary Washington, Sharon Richmond Janis, and I were active members of the Campus Christian Center (CCC) and we got to know Jonesy so well. We recall her laughter and her positive attitude - her spiritual leadership and overall caring. Sharon and I recently returned to Fredericksburg for our 40th Class Reunion. When we were in F'burg making plans for the reunion, we went by the CCC and we asked about Jonesy. Sharon called me today to tell me of her passing. Jonesy has shared God's love with so many throughout her life - being with her as we came of age was indeed a blessing. Sharon and I want you to know that we cherish our memories of Jonesy and that we join you in celebrating her life dedicated to the service of our Lord and Savior. Loreeda was a very Special, Loving person and meant so much to me and others while at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church. She was a dynamo when keeping up with things, one of many activities, was the MERRY MAKERS group at church, she organized all our trips and was sweet about calling me when I had failed to sign up. She always arranged everything to the smallest detail.
She was a Saint in the church and was there whenever the doors opened. She was loved by everyone lucky enough to know and spend time with her. Her beautiful smile showed Love
for God and all of his creation.
I know she is an Angel in Heaven now and rejoicing with Ralph
and her many friends. They were a Beautiful Couple.
May God Bless you for the loving care you gave her and comfort you at this sad time.

We enjoyed many trips with Loreeda with the JOY group at FUMC. We took Loreeda to Richmond for her cornea transplant and kept her at our home to recover. We loved her so much and she was a JOY to be with! I talked to her by phone many times after she moved to Tenn. I know she is with Ralph and happy to be with her Lord! Bob and Fran Hall, Roanoke, Va.

Tammy & Mike and family,
You and Mike have been so very wonderful to Loreeda. All of us who knew and loved her for so many years marvel at your kindness, your compassion, and your devotion. We are so grateful to you. I know the last year in particular has been a difficult one for you. I am glad that the struggle is over for Loreeda and that she has gone home to be with her Lord and Savor.

Loreeda encouraged me, and shared her wisdom, imagination, passion, and enthusiasm for Christ and all of God's creation with me while I was associate pastor at Fredericksburg UMC just after my ordination as Elder. No one has yet to make such a positive Christian impression on me. Loreeda is unique and unrepeatable. I am still blessed by her love of Christ.

Margaret,
Just saw the obit of Loreeda and want you to know how much you are in my thoughts
just now---you are the last of the clan. Loreeda and I went to several church affairs while
I was in Danville as a DCE, just as she was. She will be missed by many, but we will
always remember the good times we had with her and the family. She was a special
person. I share her love of Scarritt College. Love, Sue Barnes Parham
