Obituary of Carl Andrew Wallace

Carl Wallace, 90, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the home of his granddaughter Mechelle. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Bonnie Kay Wallace; daughter, Judy King and grandson, Scott Lawson He is survived by his daughter, Sherry and husband Wayne Armstrong and daughter, Jackie Lawson; two sons, Dicky and wife Madori Wallace; and Harry and wife Janice Wallace; thirteen grandchildren, Mechelle and husband Darrell Mitchell, Terry and wife Susie Armstrong, Tony and wife Michele Armstrong, Amber and husband Chad Conner, Sonya and husband Patrick Sherrill, Greg Lawson, Marcus Wallace, Keith and wife Beth Wallace, Paula and husband Greg Lonsway, Tracy and husband Dan Fasolino, Brian Wallace, Chad Wallace and wife Julie and twenty great-grandchildren. Mr. Wallace had a very special niece, Henrietta Davis. Thanks to his wonderful friends, Elwanda Hughes, James and Elaine Moore, Margie Stephenson, Viola Yates, Jack and Jane Lawson, Pat Christian, Grace Jeffers and Sheila Oliver. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Thursday at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will be conducted at 7pm with Pastor John Rogers and Pastor J.W. Depew officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 10am Friday in Elm Springs Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be presented by the American Legion Post 3/265. The family would like to give many thanks to Wellmont Hospice Care, Holston Valley 2nd floor Nurses and CNA's, Dr. Mark Jenkins, Dr. Matthews, Dr. Cohan and staff and special thanks to Dr. Lucinda Miller.
